Katie Thompson ‘In The Window’

​Join us during L.A. Design Weekend to celebrate In the Window, a new installation by Los Angeles–based ceramic artist Katie Thompson at Merchant Modern East.

​Featuring a collection of hand-built ceramics and bronze works, In the Window is the inaugural exhibition in Merchant Modern's ongoing storefront series. Thompson's sculptural practice explores the relationship between material, form, and function, creating quietly playful works that balance utility with sculptural presence.

​Discover the installation alongside Merchant Modern's curated collection of mid-century furniture, contemporary art, sculpture, and collectible objects, featuring one-of-a-kind works by Los Angeles artists. Throughout the shop, art and design are presented in conversation, creating an immersive environment where each piece can be experienced in situ.
