The world is built from patterns. They appear in quilts, sidewalks, spreadsheets, hairstyles, dance steps, wallpaper, migration routes, labor, traffic, borders, weather, algorithms, prayer, bureaucracy, camouflage, capitalism, and the ways we love one another.

A pattern can be a shortcut.
A comfort.
A spell.
A technology.
A prison.
A joke.
A revolution rehearsing itself.

Pattern Parade invites artists and designers to explore pattern as material, behavior, structure, habit, ornament, ritual, system, score, and social choreography.
