Materials Matter: Building Circular, Resilient Supply Chains for Plastics in Transportation and the Built Environment
This September during New York Climate Week, Closed Loop Partners’ Ventures team invites you to an exclusive roundtable focused on advancing circular solutions for plastics in the automotive and building & construction sectors. The conversation will highlight opportunities to convert persistent waste streams into high-quality inputs capable of enhancing or displacing virgin materials.
Polymers and plastics play a critical role in the automotive and built environment sectors, allowing for lighter weight materials that are less emissions intensive in transport. Yet, traditional supply chains in these industries remain linear, extractive, and resource intensive. This session will convene industry leaders, innovators, and investors to discuss practical solutions for reducing waste and increasing the use of recycled inputs across these key sectors. We will also discuss emerging technologies that are available now to source better, lower carbon, less wasteful input materials, and will discuss what it will take to get to a world where recycled materials are the default option for many plastic use cases in our homes, our cars, and our offices.
At Closed Loop Ventures, we are committed to investing in and supporting companies that are revolutionizing material systems across these industries––advancing circular, resilient feedstocks and innovative material solutions that enable a low carbon, locally sourced, sustainable future for plastics manufacturing in industrial applications.
