Introduction to Aalto Robotics Club
This is the evening where you find out everything AROC actually runs — and how to get in.
We'll go through:
How the club works. What AROC is, what we're building toward, and how you fit in. You'll hear how membership works, where we build, and how to propose your own project.
The community projects running right now. An autonomous courier robot, a Booster T1 humanoid, and XLeRobot, an open-source dual-arm platform. The robots will be in the room, so you can see what you'd be working on before you apply to anything. All three are open — any member can join one.
Competition teams for the 2027 season. Self-driving cars, autonomous racing cars, Mars rovers, autonomous drones. You'll hear what it actually takes to compete at that level — and meet the mentors who'll get you there.
The autumn workshop series. ROS 2, Physical AI, and 3D printing — taught by researchers and engineers doing the work.
Open to everyone. No prior robotics experience needed.
