​About Event

​Hacienda Hacks 2026 is a free, one-day, in-person hackathon for high school students in the Bay Area.

​On Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM PDT, students will meet teammates, follow event tracks, and build a hardware or software project they are proud to demo.

​No previous hackathon or advanced coding experience is required. Beginners are welcome, and participants will have access to mentors, workshops, food, and dedicated time to build in a supportive environment.

​What to Expect

​Participants can join a team, develop an original idea, and work with mentors throughout the day. Workshops will cover practical building skills, including software development, hardware, and project presentation.

​The event schedule includes check-in, an opening ceremony, coding and building time, workshops, meals, project submissions, judging, and an awards ceremony.

​How to Prepare

​Bring a laptop, charger, student ID, and any hardware you would like to use. Come ready to learn, collaborate, and build something new during the event. Registration, meals, workshops, and the event experience are free for participants.
