Movie Event - The Odyssey in IMAX at AMC Port Chester 14, July 29 (RAIN DATE)

​-On Wednesday, July 29th, I will be following up the Stamford Cinema Club’s Disclosure Day event with The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s newest film. This event was originally scheduled for July 21st, but needed to be postponed due to inclement weather. I’m hoping the weather will cooperate with this new date so it doesn’t need to be cancelled outright.

​-The screening is at 6:00 PM, we will gather at the lobby in the AMC Port Chester theater at 5 PM before screening, and then regroup there after the screening for a brief discussion about the film. As this film has a large amount of hype surrounding it and was built for the IMAX format, it should be an exciting opportunity to come together and discuss our thoughts on it.

​-This is an event in Theaters. As such, it is a paid event in the sense that you will have to buy your own ticket. AMC offers tickets at half price on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you will just need a free AMC Stubs membership to take advantage of it, which can done in the theater itself when purchasing the ticket, or online.

​-When purchasing your ticket, you will be instructed to pick a seat. The event host will be sitting in Seat D21, if you would like to sit together, otherwise you may pick any open seat in the theater. The theater is going to be packed so it’s advised to book a ticket ASAP.

​-The Odyssey is an epic fantasy film based on Homer’s epic poem of the same name. It features an ensemble cast with the likes of Matt Damon, Anne Hatheway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattison, and Charlize Theron. In the film, Damon plays a Greek king on a journey home from the Trojan war, and covers the various obstacles and mythical creatures he encounters along the way.
