La Mirada de la Mujer by White Label Project: Opening Vernissage

​Join us for the Vernissage of “La Mirada de la Mujer - Mexican Narratives through Craft, Art & Design”, curated by White Label Project as part of Berlin Art Week and CURRENTS 2026, on September 10, 5 - 9 PM.

​The exhibition reflects upon the intersections that exist between art, craft, and design within the context of Mexico’s rich cultural heritage, highlighting how traditional culture has influenced contemporary art and design practices. The selected artists and their respective practices reach far beyond Western ideology on contemporary art, existing in a dual response. They react both to their own ecosystems, sourcing material directly from Mexico's varied physical and cultural landscape, and to the very Western frameworks they transcend, forging a distinctive visual language rooted in place, memory, and materiality. Featured artists include: Rebeca Cors, Ente arte.objeto, Abitante Estudio, Caralarga, Lørdag & Søndag, Gabriela Alatorre and Enrique Leyva.

​We invite you to enjoy delicious wine from German winery Hungermüller and sparkling tea from Far & Søn, while spending the evening with an eye on Mexico's vibrant design and art scene.
