Engineering Leaders Roundtable: What’s Working with AI? (INVITE ONLY | GROUP 2)
Join a small group of Engineering Leaders (capped at 15) from the Leopard Slack for a low-key, 1-hour roundtable to share notes on how folks are successfully using AI in their core day to day, products & workflows.
Note: This link is for the second group, focused on sharing tips and tricks more related to lean teams, early stage job search, etc.
Who is invited? Vetted Engineering Leaders in the Leopard slack who believe in inclusivity in software engineering. Our 500+ members include Director+ leaders at Lyft, Retool, Clickup, Ro, Twilio, HashiCorp, Microsoft Copilot, Code for America, and hundreds of smaller startups. If you know someone who should be in the community, email Angella@leopard.fyi and we'll invite them.
Moderated by Lexi Lewtan, Founder & CEO of Leopard.FYI. Lexi will circulate the notes and any templates or prompts folks share afterwards in slack.
Roundtable Topics:
🧩 How are you using AI day to day as an engineering leader?
We’ll start with quick intros, then Lexi will pull this list up on the screen. Folks can drop in the chat which areas they want to do a deeper dive into:
Applied LLMs, ex: RAG pipelines, vector databases, AI agents, prompt chaining
Code Quality, e.g., vibe coding / AI-generated code, debugging, writing tests, refactoring
Infrastructure & Scaling, ex: GPU optimization, inference speed, cost reduction
Data Quality & Evaluation, ex: Data cleanup, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, human-in-the-loop feedback
AI-Powered Features, ex: recommendations, personalization, semantic search, smart document processing, generative UI, AI copilots, autonomous agents, and real-time summarization
Hiring, ex: Job Descriptions, Interview Rubrics, Candidate Feedback, Meeting Summaries
Process & Planning, ex: Project scoping, roadmap and sprint planning, postmortems
Management, ex: Onboarding, Performance Reviews, Leveling Frameworks, OKRs
Documentation, ex: System design, architecture diagrams, technical specs, knowledge bases, etc
AI Operations & Strategy, ex: Security & privacy, tool selection, team upskilling, best practices
📄 Recommended Tools & Prompts:
If you have any specific prompts or tools that actually work for debugging, writing tests, creating docs, drafting job descriptions, interview rubrics, performance reviews, or really anything else, share them! You can drop them in Slack, or we’ll share a summary of the notes afterward.
Check this page as well as the c-leopard-leaders-general Slack channel for updates (Lexi likes to blab as she plans lol). If you need slack access, email gem@leopard.fyi and lexi@leopard.fyi.
