​Join us for a Champagne Breakfast and an intimate introduction to You Were Never Solid, a group exhibition presented at DANAE during Art Basel Paris. Over breakfast and champagne, curators Anika Meier (The Second-Guess) and Diane Drubay (Blueshift) will be joined by artists Crosslucid, Lauren Moffatt, Sasha Katz, BORA, and SOFF to share insights and highlights before you set off for your Art Basel morning.

​About the exhibition:

​Inspired by hydrofeminism, as articulated by Astrida Neimanis, You Were Never Solid invites us to see human and more-than-human bodies as porous, relational, and oceanic, composed of the same ancient waters that flow through rain, veins, and rivers.

​Featuring immersive video works, digital rituals, and speculative mythologies by Bianca Shonee Arroyo-Kreimes, BORA, Claudia Hart, Connie Bakshi, Crosslucid, Dagmar Schürrer, Harriet Davey, Kira Xonorika, Lauren Moffatt, Pinar Yoldas, Sasha Katz, SOFF, Viola Rama, Violet Bond, and Wednesday Kim, the exhibition explores species entanglement, memories, technologies, and genders through a liquid lens. The works dissolve frontiers between self and other, machine and myth, nature and culture, offering aqueous worlds and ancestral architectures for survival.
