meet the artist: shaina selvaraju is a jewelry and ceramics artist based in the suburbs of philadelphia. her work explores functional form, texture, and the relationship between material and process, with a focus on creating pieces that feel both intentional and approachable. working across clay and metal, she is drawn to hands-on techniques that celebrate craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and personal expression. in addition to developing her own studio practice, shaina teaches ceramics and jewelry workshops for beginners and emerging makers, creating welcoming spaces where creativity feels accessible, social, and rewarding. she is also the founder of house of slate, a jewelry experience-based business currently in development that focuses on workshops, creative experiences, and personalized keepsakes. to follow shaina's artistic journey and the development of house of slate, follow @diary.of.confused90skid.
