clay club: wall planters with angelique scott
join us for a special clay club led by angelique scott — a caribbean-american artist, educator, and activist whose work celebrates intergenerational traditions of care and craftsmanship. drawing from afro-diasporic material culture, angelique works with clay, fiber, cowrie shells, and indigo to explore spirituality, wellness, and communal healing through craft.
in this hands-on workshop, we’ll learn a range of hand-building techniques to create our own succulent planters, experimenting with texture, form, and surface design. angelique will guide us through the process while sharing stories and insights from her artistic practice rooted in afrocentricity and africana womanism.
come as you are — no experience needed. all materials + good company provided <3
