Shifting Trillions into Climate Solutions at the California Academy of Sciences
Climate funders and investors, join Sierra Club Foundation and Regenerative Social Finance (RSF) for a panel and reception at the Cal Academy of Sciences as part of SF Climate Week! We'll be engaging in a lively conversation on how we can "Shift Trillions" towards climate solutions, while enjoying food and drinks with the gorgeous California Academy of Sciences Terrace as a backdrop.
Financial capital is often generated through extractive practices that damage natural and human resources, compromising the very systems on which we rely for our survival and well-being. Shifting Trillions is how we build something better, accelerating the stewardship and flow of capital to restore our climate and natural places, reduce inequalities, and create value for asset owners, communities, and ecosystems.
We’ll cover:
How Sierra Club Foundation and Regenerative Social Finance work together to finance promising climate solutions
Real examples from our portfolios and partnerships of the most exciting climate solutions on the horizon
How the Shifting Trillions initiative helps other investors to protect our climate and – by extension – their portfolios
Panelists:
Sara E. Murphy, Director of System-Level Investing, Sierra Club Foundation
Jasper van Brakel, President and CEO, Regenerative Social Finance (RSF)
Barend Venter, Chairman, Bright Power
Moderator: Marc Diaz, CFO, Regenerative Social Finance
The panel will start promptly at 6 PM, and will be followed by a reception with drinks and appetizers on the Cal Academy’s Terrace from 7-8 PM.
Feel free to swing by the Cal Academy earlier that afternoon to enjoy one of their exhibits before the museum closes at 5 PM!
