About Event

With the rise of Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, Samsung Galaxy XR, and emerging Android XR devices, one big question keeps coming up for VR devs: 👉 How difficult is it to port across platforms?

Join Phillip Johnson (Owlchemy Labs; creator of Job Simulator) and Alex Coulombe (CEO, Agile Lens; leading Unreal Engine educator) for an online lecture on porting VR Apps Across Platforms - Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest and Android XR, followed by a live Unreal Engine demo on Galaxy XR.

✅ What you’ll learn:
- Core differences between AVP, Quest & Android XR
- Practical porting workflows
- Performance optimization
- Common pitfalls & debugging techniques
- Real examples of what worked (and didn’t)
- How to run Unreal Engine apps on Galaxy XR

Speakers:
👤Alex Coulombe is an architect-turned-XR-chitect, award-winning CEO of Agile Lens, and leading Unreal Engine educator whose work merges immersive theatre, architecture, and real-time performance.

👤Phillip Johnson has been working in games for 17 years (Doom Eternal, Wolfenstein, Far Cry, and Rocksmith) and also a founder of Invisible Collective (Battlesloths). Recently co-wrote, produced, and starred in their debut indie film "Easy Digging". Currently Lead Platform Engineer at Owlchemy Labs in Austin, TX.

If you’re building XR today, this is essential insight for delivering seamless, optimized, high-quality XR experiences across multiple ecosystems.
