How AI Is Rewriting the Audit Playbook with PwC, Rillet, and Brex
Audits used to mean months of prep, binders of documentation, and a whole lot of hoping the auditor picks the right 20 samples. AI is changing that — on both sides of the table.
Join PwC Audit Partner Witek Sobanski, Brex Controller Kevin Moore, and Rillet Head of Finance Stephen Hedlund for a virtual panel on what the modern audit actually looks like, what's coming next, and what growth-stage finance teams need to know right now.
Best for: Controllers, Heads of Finance and Accounting, and finance leaders at hypergrowth companies.
About Witek
Witek Sobanski is an Audit Partner at PwC with nearly 19 years of experience working with financial services and technology companies. A significant part of his practice is focused on the startup ecosystem — first audits, fundraises, and IPO readiness — where most conversations today come back to one thing: AI. How to adopt it, govern it, and turn it into a compelling investor story.
About Stephen
Stephen Hedlund, Head of Finance at Rillet, brings over a decade of experience in finance and accounting. An MBA graduate from Chicago Booth, he began his career at Walmart, and later went on to support growth-stage Silicon Valley startups, including Molekule, OpenSpace, and Mercury. Stephen is passionate about building strong financial foundations to drive company growth, and outside of work, he’s a proud husband and father of two young toddlers.
About Kevin
Kevin Moore is the Controller at Brex with over eight years at the company — joining as one of its earliest finance hires and helping build the accounting function from the ground up. He was there for Brex's first audit, led the company through hypergrowth (system implementations, international expansion and new product launches), navigated the company through a major acquisition, and was named Controllers Council's 2024 Controller of the Year. Before Brex, Kevin worked at PwC in the Assurance practice.
