In the past years, it’s shifted again: new people arriving, old neighborhoods changing, opportunities growing alongside frustrations. This dinner is a chance to pause and ask ourselves how we feel about the city’s next chapter. What kind of Lisbon do we imagine in the years ahead?
Maybe it’s a Lisbon that protects its soul while welcoming the world. Maybe it’s one that stays livable, creative, and kind to the people who call it home. Or maybe it’s something entirely different — a hope, a fear, a vision you carry quietly. Let’s gather to share what we’d love to see happen in this city we’re all shaping, and why it matters to us now.
Meet Your Host: Christopher Gammil
Chris Gammill touched down in Portugal to learn the language and live the local vibe. A Californian dreamer with a global spirit, Chris devours spicy food and dodges iscas like a pro. As an educator, Chris co-founded Lighthouse Language School with two Portuguese partners to help crack the Portuguese language barrier — focusing on real communication and deep comprehension. Learning Portuguese isn’t easy, but we fazemos das tripas coração — turn challenges into courage and have a lot of fun along the way!
