Why this workshop
Research nonprofits show their impact through what their work produces: papers, reports, datasets and tools. Donors increasingly want to know how far that impact travels: who cites the work, where it shows up in the news and newsletters, and whether it led to patents or documented adoption. Claude can do much of this routine research and data entry, so your experts can spend their time focused on the work they care about.
Attendance is capped at 10 people for personalized learning.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
Understand how AI models function and why this leads to hallucination challenges
Keep unpublished manuscripts, embargoed findings and other sensitive information safe
Extract authors, topics, funders and key findings from a set of publications into a structured table
Synthesize findings across a publication tracker into themes and highlights for an impact report
Measure the reach of funded research by using Claude Cowork to search across citation databases, newsletter and news mentions, patent records, and your own social media analytics
Connect Claude to the software tools your team already uses
Build skill files that capture your organization's working patterns such as communication style
Create scheduled tasks for recurring work, like daily newsletter sweeps
