Swoon Society Book Club- October Meeting
Are you looking for a romance book club in NYC? Then look no further! :)
There are so many fantastic books about the greatest city in the world— so let's read them! Each month we will pick a romance set in New York City to discuss.
October's Pick is- How to Kill a Guy in Ten Dates by Shailee Thompson
Since it is spooky season- we will be reading this rom com slasher set in NYC! I have been told it's not that scary so don't let that stop you from reading and joining in!
Please read the book before so we can discuss- or be okay with plot spoilers!
We will be discussing it at a 80s themed speakeasy in midtown. Since that is the golden era of slasher films and a fun place to meet up with friends I think it's the perfect spot.
You ticket includes The Woo Woo's iconic Happiest Meal- you will get one cocktail, one main and a side of fries all served with a toy! You can purchase extra food/and drinks as well.
Note- since it is Halloween week and the speakeasy is 80s themed it is highly encouraged to dress a bit 80s themed for the book club! Let's see that crimped hair, neons, and light wash jeans!
Our vision for this book club is for it to be a more intimate group of readers that is willing to meet monthly to discuss and build relationships. The group size will remain small so everyone can share their thoughts and be a part of the discussion!
Refunds/Cancellations
I do my best to make these events accessible and affordable to all. Because of this, we are not able to offer refunds as we budget for things. This event is rain or shine- refunds will only be offered at the organizers discretion (if there a extenuating circumstances that led to the whole event being cancelled).
