GRIEF DAY CAMP for Native Families
Join us for Grief Day Camp, a free afternoon for Native families to remember and honor the people we’ve lost, together 💛
We’ll begin with a curated lineup of short films by Indigenous filmmakers exploring grief, loss, and healing.
Made by Indigenous filmmakers for our communities, the lineup ranges from coming-of-age adventure to animation, drama, poetry, and a lil humor <3
These films hold many kinds of grief: losing a friend, a parent, a sibling, a partner, and grieving someone who is still with us. Many of us carry grief through our traditions, our families, and everyday life. These stories remind us there’s no one way to grieve.
Popcorn on us! 🍿
After the films, stay for an art activity with Gerard’s House to make something in memory of your loved ones. All supplies are provided.
Open to the community and recommended for ages 7 and up.
Please RSVP so we can plan for seating and art supplies.
Presented by Sabrina Saleha (Navajo). Made possible with support from Santa Fe Arts & Culture through the Art is the Solution grant.
