About Event

Within the Haitian Vodou tradition, the Gede spirits are guardians of the cemetery, mediators between worlds, and keepers of ancestral wisdom. Known for their wit, humor, and vibrant energy, they teach us to embrace life while honoring death, to remember where we come from, and to find liberation in joy as much as in mourning.

Join Mètrès Riva Précil on Tuesday, October 21 for a powerful online workshop dedicated to the Gede family of spirits. Riva will weave together storytelling, teaching, and song to guide us into the heart of the Gede’s lessons. Together, we’ll explore their role in Vodou ritual, their significance in Haitian culture, and the ways they offer guidance for healing and transformation in our own lives.

This gathering is designed for seekers, learners, and community members alike, anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of Haitian spirituality. All are welcome into this circle of learning and reflection. This is more than a workshop, it is an invitation to connect with ancestral wisdom in a way that is accessible, affirming, and alive.

Expect an workshop filled with reflection, culture, and community, as we honor the spirits who remind us that death is never an end, but a continuation.
