Aspiring Founders Meetup #18: Get Ready to Raise in 2027
Planning to raise funds in 2027? What should you start working on now—before you build a pitch deck or reach out to investors?
Join us on 8 October at 18:00 at the Delta for an evening about getting ready to raise. We’ll talk about the financial and legal questions founders face, what to prepare ahead of investor conversations, and where to find support along the way. Bring your questions, whether you already have a startup or are still shaping an idea.
This is the 18th Aspiring Founders Meetup. As always, the people in the room are part of the event. 🌟
🎤 On stage
1. You - take the 30-second pitch
Want to tell the room what you’re building? The stage is yours for 30 seconds, free of charge. Share your idea, introduce yourself, and finish with: “I need support with…” and “I can offer support with…”
You don’t need a polished investor pitch. This is a chance to practise saying your idea out loud and meet people who might be able to help.
You’ll get something to take home, too: our photography team will record participating founders on stage and give them their pitch videos to use as social media content. If you’ve been meaning to introduce yourself or your startup online, this is a place to start. 🎥
2. Shruti Kuber - getting ready to raise
Our main speaker, Shruti Kuber, is a founder and the founder of CapitalSnapshot. Shruti will lead the conversation on preparing for a fundraise in 2027: the questions to work through, the information to have ready, and how to approach the process with more clarity.
⚖️ Meet our Legal Helpdesk: Dr. Ingo Schneider
Joining us for the evening is Dr. Ingo Schneider, a lawyer with 10 years of experience in venture capital deals and term sheet negotiations. He also supports founders with company incorporation and the legal groundwork for building their businesses.
You’ll have the opportunity to connect with Ingo during networking and bring your questions about fundraising, investor terms, and setting up your company.
