Local models give you control over where your data goes, when your models change and how your AI tools connect to the rest of your systems. This Dublin AI Week evening brings together practical talks and a hands-on workshop for people who want to move beyond hosted chat interfaces and understand what it takes to run AI locally.

Local LLM setup workshop with David Curran from CHAI: get a model running locally and explore practical ways to use it for work, coding and finding information

Bring a laptop for the workshop. Setup guidance will be shared with approved guests before the event.
Who it is for
Software engineers, AI and ML practitioners, technical founders, data scientists, product builders and anyone experimenting with open-source or private AI infrastructure. You do not need to have run a local model before, but you should be comfortable installing developer tools and working through a guided technical setup.
