SUE Industry Night Gala 2026

​Join the Society of Undergraduates in Economics’ most anticipated annual event, hosted in the prestigious Devonian Room at the Calgary Petroleum Club.

​This black-tie evening brings together economics students and distinguished professionals from Calgary’s private and public sectors for an evening of meaningful conversations in an elegant setting.

​Featured Speakers

​We are honoured to welcome Farrukh Suvankulov, Regional Director at the Bank of Canada, as our keynote speaker.

​Opening remarks will also be delivered by Dr. Aidan Hollis, Head of the Department of Economics at the University of Calgary.

​Industry Representation

​Guests will be seated at curated roundtables with 33 industry professionals and senior leaders, representing a diverse range of sectors including law, public policy, banking, finance, oil and gas trading, consulting, and academia.

​Following the main course, professionals will rotate between tables in structured 10–15 minute roundtable discussions, allowing students to engage with multiple leaders throughout the evening.
