Time to ditch the office and head to the park! Join LA UXR Meetup for a laid-back summer picnic potluck at Ocean View Park, just south of the Santa Monica Pier. Our webinar speaker Yeyen Ong will also be there if you’d like to meet her in person and chat about creating a research portfolio.
This picnic is for the whole fam! — Feel free to bring your partner, kids and dogs!

🍽️ Potluck sign-up Bring a dish or drink to share! Sign-up on our Google sheet to let everyone know what you’re bringing. (We’ll bring plates, cups and utensils)
🧺 What to Bring
Bring camping chairs or picnic blankets to get comfortable at the park.
We’ll have a few canopies setup but consider bringing your own canopy or umbrella if you want extra shade (as there are not many shade trees).
Also the beach is within walking distance and while we will be posted at the park consider bringing beach stuff if you want to break away from the group to hang on the beach.
🅿️ Parking
Free Residential Parking: Many residential streets near Ocean View Park do have free street parking on Saturdays between noon-2pm, but you may need to walk a few blocks to get to the park.
Metered Street Parking: Street parking along the closest main thoroughfares, such as Main Street and Ocean Park Boulevard, consists of active parking meters. These meters charge $1.00 to $2.00 per hour on Saturdays.
On-Site Beach Lots: The closest lot directly servicing the park is Parking Lot 5 South. $1.00 per hour with a strict 2-hour maximum limit.
