​Some silences grow out of distance, class, grief, or intimacy; others emerge when the familiar turns strange, when seeing no longer guarantees knowing, or where expression itself breaks down. At times, lives turn on chance encounters or things accidentally overheard; at others, relationships wear away among private memories and objects left untouched. These films attend to what is never fully spoken yet continues to pass between people—and to the forms of closeness that persist at the edge of language.
