Artist Profiles — Live Filmed Conversations by CounterCult
Join CounterCult Creatives for a live video creative feature session in Cape Town from our new Creative Field Notes series.
This First Thursdays gathering is centered around short-form video journalism — capturing real conversations with local creatives and sharing them across our global channels to connect Cape Town’s cultural voices with creative communities worldwide.
We’ll be hosting live, on-camera interviews with artists, performers, makers, and cultural thinkers. The questions won’t be shared in advance — think documentary-style, curious, and human rather than promotional. The goal is to listen closely, document honestly, and spotlight how creatives see their work, their environment, and the world right now.
This isn’t a traditional networking event. Connection happens through conversation, presence, and being witnessed.
Whether you work in visual art, music, performance, spoken word, experimental practices, or operate a culture-driven space or business, this is an opportunity to be part of an evolving creative archive — one that links local voices to a wider international context.
What to expect:
Live filmed creative features with local creatives
Unscripted, journalist-style questions (not shared beforehand)
Documentation shared across CounterCult Creatives’ global platforms
An intimate, inclusive space focused on listening and storytelling
Free to attend
‼️ We are currently looking for a venue to host this First Thursdays session — if you have a space or know someone who does, please reach out.
