Art, History & Diplomacy | Champagne Reception for Collectors, Business Leaders and the Consular Corps.
Art can play a powerful role as a bridge between nations and cultures. Please join us for a champagne reception bringing together collectors, business leaders and the Consular Corps to explore the intersection of art, history, and diplomacy. Guests may learn about the U.S. Department of State, Art in Embassies program and how collectors can lend significant works of art to U.S. diplomatic missions abroad. The program’s goal is to share and showcase art as a powerful bridge between nations and cultures.
Ahead of its placement in Brussels as part of the Art in Embassies program, we will showcase an important 18th-century Belgian tapestry. The tapestry was once part of the Rothschild collection, confiscated by the Nazis, later in Hermann Göring’s collection, and ultimately recovered and restituted through the efforts of the U.S. military following the liberation of Europe.
We hope you’ll join us. Please RSVP above.
