From Eco-Anxiety to Climate Action
The first trigger to any form of personal and collective change begins with emotions. Our emotions - grief, anxiety, withdrawal, anger, hope - influence our perceptions of risk, sense of agency and ultimately our willingness to act. (Davidson, D. J., & Kecinski, M., 2022)
For climate communications to be effective, we need to accommodate the complexity and relevance of emotionality and identify mechanisms for the transformation of emotions into agency, hope and action.
This event is a 2-hour experiential gathering for climate communicators, fledgling environmentalists, or anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed, helpless, or angry about the state of our planet.
We will open with a short screening of Lost World (2018), before guiding an experimental, research-based, communal process to transform our emotions into hopeful energy for collective action.
See you there!
