🎤 About Our Member Leader
Valerie Leon has over 20 years of experience in social impact leadership, public service, and grassroots community economic development. She's dedicated my career to creating sustainable, impactful change in urban and rural communities, both locally and internationally.
Her work spans affordable housing preservation and economic development, strategic planning, program design/implementation, advocacy, and public speaking. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for Women in Housing Finance NYC and was a 2025 92NY Women inPower Fellow, joining a cohort of 30 leaders from across industries.
Fluent in Spanish, she brings a culturally competent lens to all of her work, from affordable housing initiatives in NYC to supporting diverse professionals navigating their careers. In her free time, I am a curly hair, color analyst, theatre and yoga enthusiast.
