About Event

Following in the legacy of the Black Panthers and the Young Lords, Dr. Joss Martinez from naī acupuncture will provide an Ear Acupuncture Clinic where participants will receive an arrangement of 5 points in each ear. This offering specifically targets behavioral and physical health using thin acupuncture needles or stainless steel ear seeds to stimulate points that correspond with different areas of the body. This facilitates the release of unwanted habitual patterns, while also strengthening various organ systems. Known for calming the spirit, this protocol was brought to the Black and Latiné community in NYC by the Black Panthers and Young Lords to address mental health, trauma, PTSD, chronic stress, addiction, insomnia, and the symptoms associated with these conditions. Sessions last about 15 minutes. Seeds typically stay on for 3-5 days and can be reactivated by gently pressing the seeds into the ear.
