AWS, Azure & GCP AI UK: Agents Across Clouds
Hello and welcome to our joint meetup between AWS AI UK, Azure AI UK, and GCP AI UK.
This crossover event brings together AI engineers, cloud architects, data practitioners, platform engineers, and technology leaders exploring how agentic AI is reshaping the way software gets built and delivered across all three major clouds.
This is a special Community Stack ecosystem event, bringing together several of our cloud- and AI-focused communities for an evening of practical talks, hands-on technical discussion, and cross-community networking.
A huge thank you to Digital Futures for hosting and sponsoring this event, and for supporting the growth of the cloud and AI community in London.
Speakers and sessions:
Building Agents in Azure: A Crash Course
Lisa Carpenter, Practice Director, Digital Futures
Building production-ready generative AI agents no longer requires a specialist team. In this session, Lisa will show how Azure's Python framework supplies the tools, orchestration, and guardrails needed to move from prototype to production quickly, and where to begin on your own agentic journey.
As Practice Director at Digital Futures, Lisa leads all training and learning initiatives, ensuring the Frontier AI Programme is designed to meet client needs while empowering consultants with the skills and confidence to thrive in their digital careers. Her work sits at the heart of Digital Futures' mission of turning potential into capability and curiosity into lifelong growth.
Before stepping into her leadership role, Lisa built a career helping organisations unlock value from their data, designing technical solutions and statistical models that turned information into meaningful insight. Her journey took a transformative turn in 2018, when she discovered her passion for developing people. Since then, she has been dedicated to creating and delivering data and technology education that inspires and transforms.
Lisa is a champion of digital empowerment and ethical innovation. She firmly believes that anyone can learn to harness technology to make their work more creative, efficient, and impactful, and that responsibility and ethics must always guide how data and AI are used for the benefit of humanity. Outside the world of data and learning, Lisa is an avid boulderer and can often be found paddleboarding along Regent's Canal.
Harness Engineering: Building Your Lean, Mean Delivery Machine
Jaroslav Pantsjoha, Technical Director, Nearform
What multiplies output is not the model, it is the harness around it: the codified context, skills, hooks, sub-agents, and humans, all aligned on new ways of working, with an SME squad or operators to leverage the potential. One rule makes the whole thing work: lean context engineering. And the part Jaroslav genuinely did not see coming was that codifying the AI forced the humans to align, quicker and sooner.
In this session, Jaroslav will unpack a real harness he runs on Google Cloud, delivering with a fraction of the planned team at a throughput that sounds made up until you see the headcount delta. He will also cover the foobars and the parts that still need tuning every single week.
The weekend pioneer who ships miracles is real and worth talking about. But how many pioneers does your organisation have, and can you run an enterprise on pioneers alone? This talk is about how you get from one to many, and how to work through the transformation of the developer.
Jaroslav Pantsjoha is a Google Developer Expert (AI/ML) and AI solution architect who designs and runs multi-agent systems in production on Google Cloud. Architect by day and builder by night, on the simple grounds that he does not trust an opinion about this technology that was not earned hands-on. He is the author of Building the Agentic Enterprise on Google Cloud (Packt), and writes and speaks from the trenches on what it takes to lead a mixed team of people and agents, and what breaks when you try.
