Wellness for Workforce Workers: A Listening & Co-Design Session
Part II: Envisioning Our Desired Future
The workforce development sector plays a critical role in supporting individuals and communities, but this work often comes at a cost. Practitioners face high caseloads, complex client needs, and systemic challenges that contribute to stress, burnout, and turnover. These pressures, along with persistent pay inequities, gaps in leadership representation, and enduring impacts of the pandemic, make it difficult to sustain a healthy and effective workforce.
Join Corporation for a Skilled Workforce (CSW) and Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI), in collaboration with NYCETC, for the second session in our wellness-focused listening and co-design series. Building on insights from our February session, we’ll explore current challenges and work together to design actionable strategies for a more resilient workforce.
What to Expect
1 pm - 2 pm: Networking Lunch
2 pm - 4 pm: Facilitated Discussion and Activities
Participants will join peer groups to reflect, share, and map a vision for a healthier workforce system, supported by facilitators from CSW and WPTI.
Who Should Attend?
This session is open to staff at all levels of nonprofit organizations providing workforce development services in New York City. Attendance at the first wellness session earlier this year is not a prerequisite—new voices and perspectives are welcome.
