​For its first New York edition, COMMONPLACE brings three acclaimed writers together around the theme of Obsession.

​Over a shared three-course dinner at Open Book Club's new studio on the Bowery, Upasna Barath, Jordan Tannahill and Megan Nolan will share readings and reflections on the things we can't let go of: desire, fixation, compulsion, love and everything that happens when fascination becomes something more consuming.

​Between courses, each writer will read from their work before the room opens into conversation.

​Founded in London by author William Rayfet Hunter, COMMONPLACE is an intimate literary supper club bringing writers and readers together around a shared table. Less like a traditional literary event and more like being invited to someone's dinner party, each evening makes space for food, stories and conversation.
