Whether you’re brand new to American Mahjong or ready to sharpen your skills, join The Style Collective for Mahjong Mondays at the Mercer Island Beach Club—a fun, community-driven way to learn, play, and connect.

We play American Mahjong using National Mahjong League rules. Led by certified Mahjong Instructor Donna Holmes from The Mahjong Corner, these small‑group sessions offer different options for each level, from brand‑new beginners to seasoned players. Enjoy light sips and snacks (provided) while you build your skills, meet new friends, and share in the fun.

Mahjong 101 – Introduction to American Mahjong
Perfect for beginners! Learn the fundamentals of American Mahjong, including tile names, how to read and use the National Mahjong League (NMJL) card, basic rules, and step-by-step guidance to play your first hand.
The 2025 National Mahjong League Official Card is required for play and included in your registration fee—yours to keep.
