Financial Literacy & Crafts Workshop: Let's Glow Up Financially! ⭐
Ready to glow up financially?
Growing up, a lot of us weren't taught how to invest, build savings, understand taxes, or even talk about money. Now we're adults trying to figure it all out on our own.
But who says we have to figure it out alone?
Join Chicas in the Bay for a FREE financial literacy + crafts workshop where we'll talk about dinero, ask the questions that feel too embarrassing (but aren't), and meet others who are also trying to glow up financially.
This is for the first-gen baddies, Latinas, and honestly, anyone who's ever felt overwhelmed by dinero and is trying to take the first steps towards building generational wealth.
This event is 100% FREE, but donations are appreciated! If you cannot donate, simply enter $0 when registering. No questions asked!
We'll cover things like:
Saving, budgeting & growing your money
Investing without feeling overwhelmed
Understanding taxes & avoiding common mistakes
How to talk about money with confidence
The financial basics many of us were never taught
No finance background needed!
We'll break down the financial basics in ways that are easy to understand, answer your questions, and help you build the confidence to start making informed financial decisions.
And don't worry, we're not trying to sell you a course, convince you to buy crypto, or recruit you into anything. Pinky promise.
A few things to know:
This event is completely FREE!
No financial background or experience needed
All craft supplies will be provided
Come as you are, bring your questions, and be ready to learn en comunidad.
💗 WHO ARE CHICAS IN THE BAY?
Chicas in the Bay is a community of Latinas + first-gen chicas looking to give back to la comunidad, glow up financially, run together, and build community across the East Bay.
From running and yoga to financial literacy, crafts, cafecito chats, and supporting local businesses, we create spaces where chicas can show up, learn something new, move their bodies, and actually meet others in the community IRL.
📍 East Bay + San Francisco
Come solo or bring an amiga. Either way, we hope you leave knowing a few more. 🫶🏽
****💌 Cancellation & No-Show Policy
We love hosting free events for our community, but free doesn't mean there isn't a cost involved! These workshops take a lot of time, planning, and resources to make possible.
Our events often fill up quickly, with dozens of chicas on the waitlist hoping for an opportunity to attend.
If you RSVP, we're counting on you to show up!
A note about previous no-shows: If you registered for one of our previous workshops and did not attend, cancel your RSVP, or communicate with us, we reserve the right to release your spot to someone on our waitlist.
If your plans change, please cancel your registration through Luma at least 24 hours before the event so we can offer your spot to someone else.
We completely understand that emergencies happen! However, last-minute cancellations and no-shows mean wasted supplies, resources, and missed opportunities for other members of our community.
Please RSVP with intention and be considerate of the community we're building together. ❤️
