Medicinal Plant Walk
About the event: Come gather in community while meeting some common pnw plants and learning their medicinal uses and what they can teach us. You’ll learn to ID plants by using all your senses, ethnobotany practices, medicinal uses of plants and what plants have to teach us. The walk will be a slow walk through the woods, expect 1-1.5 miles of walking, but with frequent stops and observation time. The trail doesn't have a lot of incline but isn't even in places.
Meeting place:
We will meet at the bulletin board in parking lot 1 at Lincoln Park. The C line bus is a 4 minute walk away.
About the guide: I’m Danielle, a community herbalist. I’m excited about introducing people to plants and finding more ways for us to meet our neighbors. I received the Wild Plant Intensive certificate from the Wilderness Awareness School, and was an herbal apprentice for two years. I also run the Creatures, Critters and Climate bookclub locally.
