​The flower is a symbol of contradictions, equally a sign of life and an emblem of death. Each side of this metaphoric coin is represented in “Reason in the Grass, Tears in the Sky,” a two-person exhibition of new work by the Berlin-based painter Gabriele Herzog and the Los Angeles sculptor Taylor Kibby. It’s no coincidence that both artists’ contributions were inspired by discoveries at the same place: Amélie du Chalard's Mas Molière residency in Provence, an Edenic region famed for its floral charms.
