EUDIW Unfold #3.1 - Interop Week Session
As the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW) ecosystem enters a more operational phase, age verification is becoming one of the concrete use cases for cross-border digital identity interoperability.
This online Interop Week, organised in continuity with the EUDIW Unfold initiative, will bring together wallet providers, verifiers, and ecosystem stakeholders to collaboratively test how age-related credentials can be issued, shared, and verified across different implementations and environments.
Throughout the week, participants will be able to experiment with real interoperability scenarios, assess compliance with standards such as OIDC4VP and ISO mDL, and identify remaining challenges for seamless cross-border recognition and acceptance.
The event will focus in particular on practical age verification flows — for example proving majority online or at a physical access point — while also exploring user experience, levels of assurance, and integration approaches between wallets and relying parties.
A dedicated in-person proximity testing day will also take place on Friday, June 12, hosted by Docaposte, allowing participants to test face-to-face and device-to-device verification scenarios in real conditions.
Beyond technical testing, the Interop Week is designed as a collaborative space to exchange feedback, compare implementation choices, and contribute to the alignment of the European wallet ecosystem.
