About Event

Got it — Duboce Park. What time window? I’ll default to the same 11:45 AM–2:45 PM as the Dolores Park meet-up unless you want different.

Here’s a draft using that window — easy to adjust:

Booked, Busy & Buttered 📚🧈 — Duboce Park Edition

New book, new park! Join us Sunday, July 12th from 11:45 AM – 2:45 PM at Duboce Park to discuss the first half of our new pick. Bring a dish, bring a blanket, bring a friend. We’ll have tables set up for the food this time.

📖 The read

We’re discussing the first half of our new book pick (voted on at the June 25th meet-up). That’s about 15–25 pages a day to be ready. Can’t finish in time? No stress — just SparkNotes it and show up. Everyone is welcome, just try to read the book.

🍽 What to bring

•	A homemade dish to share at the food table (tables provided!)
•	A notecard with the ingredients written out (we’ll have extra notecards on hand if you forget)
•	A blanket to claim your patch of grass
•	Tupperware for leftovers — there will be plenty to take home
•	A friend or two — the more, the merrier

🕚 The schedule (11:45 AM – 2:45 PM)

•	11:45–12:15 — Arrive & set up. Drop your dish at the food table, lay out your blanket, mingle.
•	12:15–1:30 — Book discussion. First half breakdown — favorite moments, predictions, hot takes.
•	1:30–2:15 — Eat & swap recipes. Browse the spread, read ingredient cards, ask about the dishes.
•	2:15–2:45 — Pack up & leftover swap. Fill your Tupperware and head out.
