Sustaining Creativity in the Home: A Zine Exploration
How do you create a home in which art can survive?
In this 90-minute artmaking workshop, attendees will learn to make a miniature zine and then use it as a container for a meditation on the spaces we inhabit and the objects that support our creative practices.
Taking inspiration from Circling’s artist features, which invite artists to share a glimpse behind the scenes of their art practice using material objects and spaces as an entry point, this workshop invites community members to consider the same question. How do you make space for your creative work? What are the tools, supports, and material objects that facilitate your practice?
Participants will first be guided through the process of creating a versatile mini zine out of paper, and then work through a series of prompts from a drawing warmup to a brainstorming activity, an object study, and a reflection, before sharing out with the group.

This workshop is hosted at the beautiful Delight Factory as part of our July 2026 residency.
About the Delight Factory:
The Delight Factory is proud to incubate, support, and produce works by creative explorers through our Artists in Residence Program. We provide use of our space and equipment, marketing and brand consulting, as well as feedback and constructive critique on the work itself before it’s presented to the public.
