Introduction to libprocessing

Workshop led by Charlotte McElwain

Learn about libprocessing, the new experimental WebGPU renderer for Processing. Suitable for intermediate to advanced Processing users, this workshop explores new capabilities including video, particle systems, and PBR rendering using Python.

Experience Level: Intermediate–Advanced
Recommended: Laptop with a discrete GPU or Apple M-series processor

About the Instructor:
Charlotte McElwain (she/her) is an artist and creative technologist based in Oakland, working primarily in the Rust programming language with a focus on open source creative coding and 3D graphics tools. She first learned to code through Processing in 2009. You can find some of her work on her website or on Instagram.

Event Logistics:

Workshops and talks are open to all ages. Children under the age of 16 should be supervised by a parent.

Workshop attendees should bring their own laptops.

Workshops will take place in the classroom and are not ADA accessible.

Talks will be seated in the theater.
