About Event

Over the last two years, the Bitcoin ecosystem has benefited from significant capital invested in infrastructure driving enhanced scaling, staking, and interoperability. All that building has readied Bitcoin for an explosion of DeFi related activity.

More recently, we’ve also seen an explosion of Bitcoin Treasury Strategies driven by the ability to take in bitcoin, and generate more bitcoin, thus increasing the BTC/share. They do this through a series of different mechanics, including leverage, and “at the market equity issuance”, enabling companies to issue shares at the current price, which increases bitcoin per share when the stock is trading at a premium to BTC NAV. This activity creates a BTC-per-share accretive loop.

The NAV multiples vary widely among the treasury companies, in part, based on each companies “bitcoin yield,” which looks at the growth in BTC per share over time. The bitcoin yield reveals the efficiency of each company to grow BTC holdings. The market also rewards transparency for companies providing information on real time BTC yield.

We’re excited to have three thought leaders in Bitcoin DeFi to share their thoughts on the current landscape of DeFi on Bitcoin, how the ecosystem is evolving, and the implications for the price of Bitcoin going forward:

Parth Pathak — Founding Contributor, Tachi, which is building a native application layer for Bitcoin, providing the core EVM/WASM-on-Satoshis infra needed to enable and scale other DeFi applications securely, self-custodied and without bridges.

Siddarth Sridhar — Founder, BIMA, which is pioneering Bitcoin-native stablecoins, thus creating a stable unit of account and bridging institutional/TradFi liquidity into the Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem.

Robin Obermaier— CEO & Co-Founder, Liquidium, a leading provider of peer-to-peer non-custodial Bitcoin lending and Ordinal-based collateralization.
