Blue Podcast Nairobi – Second Edition
Blue Podcast Nairobi – Second Edition
Theme: Navigating Kenya's Blue Economy: Policy, Innovation and Sustainable Growth
Following the success of the inaugural Blue Podcast held in Mombasa during the Our Ocean Conference 2026, Blue Radio Kenya is proud to present the Second Edition of the Blue Podcast.
The first edition highlighted the impact of TechnoServe's BlueBiz Program, showcasing inspiring stories of young entrepreneurs from Kenya's coast who are building businesses, creating jobs, and driving innovation within the Blue Economy. The conversations demonstrated how strategic partnerships and targeted investments are transforming livelihoods and strengthening coastal communities.
On Tuesday, 4th August 2026, the conversation moves to Nairobi.
This edition will bring together senior government officials from the State Department for Blue Economy and Fisheries and the State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs to discuss Kenya's growing Blue Economy sector. The discussion will explore government priorities, emerging opportunities, policy direction, investment, maritime development, fisheries, youth employment, innovation, and the future of Kenya's ocean economy.
The Blue Podcast is more than a conversation. It is a platform where policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and the public meet to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and shape the future of Kenya's Blue Economy.
Why does this matter?
The Blue Economy is one of Kenya's fastest-growing economic sectors, with the potential to create thousands of jobs, attract investment, strengthen food security, expand maritime trade, and support sustainable use of marine resources. Open dialogue between government, industry, and citizens helps increase awareness, encourages innovation, and connects young people with emerging opportunities across the sector.
Join us for an evening of insightful conversations, meaningful networking, and live podcast recording.
