Agentic SDLC @ Polar Squad
The CD Foundation, the Linux Foundation's home for continuous delivery, is teaming up with Polar Squad, the Helsinki-born DevOps consultancy, for a meetup at the Wunderbar in Polar Squad's Helsinki office.
The topic is the question everyone in software delivery is asking right now: what happens to delivery when agents enter the pipeline?
Three speakers, all CD Foundation ambassadors, will take the stage:
- Yair Etziony: Chair of the ambassador cohort, Claude Ambassador for developer experience and DevOps, and founder of False Systems
- Patrick Da Silva: Mathematician, former startup CTO, and freelance consultant working across cloud, CI/CD, and ML
- Joseph Shriner: Principal Consultant at Polar Squad, Kubernetes and infrastructure expert
Expect honest talks about agents, automation, and what continuous delivery looks like when some of the actors in the system aren't human.
Good conversations and good people come included!

Title: The afterlife of software forms - FROM BROOKS AND UNIX TO AGENTS
Software delivery keeps reinventing its machinery, but some things barely move: state, knowledge, evidence, judgement, authority, boundaries. Agents are interesting because they start crossing the line between what the machine executes and what the human used to interpret and decide.
This talk is about trying to build infrastructure for that shift, getting the first version wrong, and using the failure to ask a more durable question: what still matters when the tools, models and frameworks are gone? The result is a smaller way of thinking about agentic work — less about frameworks and more about the concepts that refuse to disappear.

Title: Agentic operations - A concept that craves a definition
Agentic engineering is in heavy development now, as models are becoming more than capable enough of producing production-ready software when prompted well-enough. How do we organize company operations around working with agents? What concepts need to be understood?
Basing himself on DevOps fundamentals, Patrick explores those ideas with his experience from working at Polar Squad and with consulting clients together with his mathematical background to infer a potentially very interesting definition of a concept he calls "agentic operations".

Title: Krops - Infrastructure, reconciled.
Most IaC tools introduce a second runtime, proprietary DSLs, and brittle state files. But if you run Kubernetes, you already have a declarative control plane.
This session shows how to manage cloud and baremetal platforms using standard CNCF tools: Flux CD, Cluster API (CAPI), cloud operators, and SOPS. We walk through a GitOps monorepo pattern that provisions clusters and cloud resources with zero HCL and zero state files.
What you will learn:
1. How to wire CAPI and cloud controllers into a continuous reconciliation loop
2. How to eliminate the plan/apply gap using in-cluster rendered PR diffs via konflate
3. How to package the exact same pattern for cloud, local-host targets
4. Audience: Platform engineers, SREs, and GitOps practitioners operating Kubernetes infrastructure.
