About Event

Do you have the pitch that can turn vision into investment?

Refine your message. Strengthen your delivery. Own the room.

Join us at Professionelle House for a high-impact workshop designed to help female entrepreneurs craft and deliver compelling pitches in any high-stakes setting.

This is not an audition — it is a standalone, strategic skill-building experience. Featuring past Dragons' Den pitchers, show producers, and guest Dragon Marc Lafleur, this session offers behind-the-scenes insight into what makes a pitch stand out, both in the room and on television.

The Power of the Pitch

A great business is not enough. In high-stakes rooms — with investors, partners, media, or decision-makers — your pitch is your leverage.

This workshop sharpens that leverage through practical guidance, storytelling strategies, and insights from industry insiders. It’s about command, clarity, and capital readiness.

Designed For Ambitious Founders

Ideal for female entrepreneurs ready to operate at a higher level:

  • Preparing for investment conversations or capital raises

  • Refining positioning for scaling, partnerships, or media exposure

  • Seeking sharper messaging and executive-level delivery

  • Building the foundation for long-term growth

Whether pre-revenue or scaling nationally, this workshop strengthens both strategy and presence.

What to Expect

  • Guest Dragon Marc Lafleur will share his expertise on pitching with confidence, boldness, and resilience, helping participants command any room

  • Intimate conversation lounge with past Dragons' Den pitchers and producers

  • Behind-the-scenes insights from show producers on what makes a pitch compelling for television, what stands out in casting conversations, and common founder mistakes

  • Guided open pitch practice in a structured group setting

  • 1-minute mini mentorship sessions per participant

  • Networking with ambitious founders and peers

Open pitch spots will be available to registered attendees. Participation is limited and will be facilitated onsite.

What is Dragons' Den?

Dragons’ Den is a popular television series where entrepreneurs pitch business ideas to a panel of successful investors, known as “Dragons,” in the hopes of securing funding, mentorship, and business partnerships. Each pitch is a chance to showcase innovation, strategy, and vision while receiving real-time feedback from industry leaders.

Meet Our Dragon

Marc Lafleur started with no connections, no safety net, and no backup plan.

After early startup failures, he co-founded truLOCAL, bootstrapping the company with $30,000 and scaling it to over 60 employees and $20M in annual revenue before leading its $16.7 million acquisition in 2020.

He first appeared on Dragons’ Den as a pitcher in 2017 and returned in 2026 as a Guest Dragon, investing in the next generation of Canadian founders.

Marc is also the author of True Founder, published with Forbes, and the Founder & CEO of DB8 Labs, a venture studio building AI-powered tools for traditional businesses. Beyond business, he is a Pirelli racing champion and 100-mile ultramarathon finisher — bringing endurance and discipline into everything he builds.

Meet Our Past Pitcher From Dragons' Den

Vian Nguyen is the founder of Rude Mama Hot Sauce, the bold Vietnamese condiment brand redefining heat with flavour, culture, and unapologetic feminine energy. After moving to Canada alone in 2017, she turned homesickness into a business—building Rude Mama from scratch with $35,000 and no safety net.

In just 2.5 years, she scaled into major retailers including Sobeys and Fortinos, became profitable, and delivered the most-viewed pitch presentation of the season on CBC’s Dragons’ Den Season 20, sparking a 3,000% sales surge overnight.

Vian is known for her fearless storytelling, sharp strategic positioning, and her mission to showcase the hidden charm of Vietnam—one jar at a time.
