Mafia & Game night
Welcome, detectives and deceivers, to a night of bluffing and betrayal!
We will dive into the world of Mafia - a game that started as a psychology experiment in the 80s to prove how a small, informed minority could manipulate the majority.
This time, the Mafia game will be played only with experienced players - people who already know or have experience with Mafia or other social deduction games (such as Werewolf, The Resistance, Blood on the Clocktower, etc.). The game will be limited to 12 players, to make discussions sharper, the pace faster, and the tension even higher.
Alongside the main Mafia table, there will be several side tables with board games. These will be open to everyone - whether you’re here to play, watch, or learn. From these tables, players can observe the Mafia game up close, see how it unfolds, and even join in if a spot opens up (for example, if someone leaves early or can’t continue). The idea is to always keep 12 active Mafia players, ensuring a full and dynamic experience.
The reason behind this format is simple: we’ve noticed that new players often struggle to grasp the nuances of social deduction games, which can make the experience less enjoyable for those already familiar with them. By focusing on experienced players, we can guarantee a more balanced, engaging, and intense game, while still giving newcomers the chance to watch, learn, and step into the world of social deduction when they feel ready.

You can find the basic Mafia rules here: https://mafiaratings.com/rules.php. These are great to understand the core structure of the game, but keep in mind that our version includes a few adjustments, extra roles, and some fun twists.
A few days before the event, I’ll send by email the full set of our rules and role descriptions (only to those who sign up).
Yes, the rules are quite detailed - but here’s a great tip! If you want to digest them more easily or quickly understand a specific part, you can use ChatGPT or any similar AI tool. Just copy and paste the rule you want to clarify and use this prompt:
