​Final stretch! Just a few more chapters until we're at the end. This month, we are reading The Deep by River Solomon all the way to the end of the book.

​The Deep is an Afrofuturist novella with a haunting premise. It depicts an underwater society built by the water-breathing descendants of pregnant enslaved women thrown overboard from slave ships.

• ​6:30 - 6:45: Arrival, get settled, make a new friend

• ​6:45 - 7:30: Guided group discussion

• ​7:30 - 8:00: Open conversation, mingling, wrap-up
