About Event

Share your favorite time-tested AI prompts and coding workflows in the first of a series of "Prompt Potlucks"—coding edition. Bring your best AI coding tips, sample everyone else's, and leave with an improved strategy and better understanding of the most fundamental set of tools for our generation.

What to Bring

Your laptop and your thoughts on three of the following topics:

  • AI agent evals, observability, and continuous monitoring

  • Methods to ensure best software development practices are followed during AI-assisted coding

  • Best practices when using tools like Claude Code, Warp Terminal, Cursor, Roo Cline

    • Tactics that reduce hallucinations and improve output quality

    • Go-to prompts and strategies for debugging and avoiding loops

    • System prompts and templates (.cursor/rules, CLAUDE.md, project configs)

  • Using AI-assisted coding to create production-ready, scalable web and mobile apps

    • Best ways to create visually-appealing frontends that don't look "vibe-coded"

  • Strengths and weaknesses of different LLMs and VLMs: Sonnet 4.5, Opus 4.1, Gemini, Grok, ChatGPT, Qwen, DeepSeek-R1, DeepSeek-V3

What You'll Learn

  • Precision prompting. Write instructions that get the output you want, first try

  • Advanced patterns. Few-shot learning, chain-of-thought reasoning, and role-based prompting for consistent results

  • Iteration frameworks. Test, debug, and refine prompts systematically instead of guessing

  • Real-world solutions. Proven patterns for document analysis, automation, content creation, and technical research

Format

This is a hands-on working session, not a lecture. After an initial talk, we'll break into small groups to dive into the topics above–sharing screens, swapping templates, troubleshooting problems, and learning from each other's wins and failures. Come ready to contribute and collaborate.

Schedule

  • 7 PM–7:30 PM: Networking & arrivals

  • 7:30 PM–8 PM: Opening talk & session overview

  • 8 PM–9 PM: Breakout Session #1

  • 9 PM–9:15 PM: Networking Break

  • 9:15 PM–10 PM: Breakout Session #2

  • 10:00 PM: General discussion and networking
