​This morning, Otter Health, a company reimagining utilization management without prior authorization, announced $8 million in seed funding co-led by Fika Ventures and Evidenced Capital, with participation from Metrodora, Slow Ventures, CoFound Partners and Layout Ventures. Otter’s AI-powered platform gives payers and providers a shared, real-time view of how care decisions compare against clinical evidence, with the goal of cutting low-value care without the friction of prior auth.
