About Event

Please note that our Nonprofit Datafolk Club events are a workshop environment where people are expected to be on camera and actively participate.

In this Nonprofit Datafolk Club we will be discussing data visualisation and storytelling.

Participants will be invited to discuss the following questions in small groups:

  • How do you identify your audience for data storytelling? What kind of data-related prior knowledge and experience would you assume they have?

  • What makes a good data story/visualisation? Share some examples of brilliant data-driven stories that really held your attention and helped you make better sense of the topic. What stood out for you? Was there a particular visual cue or storytelling hook that really worked for you?

    What is Nonprofit Datafolk Club?
Our Nonprofit Datafolk Club is a friendly group of like-minded data folk working in or with nonprofits. Every month we get together online for a free interactive workshop to share expertise, ask questions and discuss anything data-related.

    Previous attendees have said:

"What I like most about Nonprofit Datafolk Club is its relaxed and friendly nature."

"The format is good and the topics are always interesting."

"It was useful to speak to people from other organisations to hear what they are doing. Talking about the challenges we're facing here was helpful and I came away with a clearer understanding of our position."
