more info on the workshop:
Elena and Masumi (Touch Me, Don’t Forget Me) will be walking us through the practice of making paper from plant fibers; in this case, Dog Strangling Vine.
During the workshop, we will be joined by Geoffrey Chan, who has been a caretaker for many years of Roxborough Parkette as a Lead Steward with Toronto Nature Stewards.
Also joining us is designer and land steward Omama M. Who, will compose a publication that will involve co-creation with all the participants of the workshop. Each participant will receive a copy of the book some time after the workshop.
The objective of this is to share a collective experience in learning; as we make room for conversation with each other and the plants we interact with. How does being "present" in the here and now sustain us and our understanding of working with people and plants?
